a couple of years ago there was a FWD night/podcast where kode9 played mala's bury the bwoy and crazy d said 'this one the wonky donkey.' a while after that it started being used to describe off-kilter or experimental tunes, tracks with galloping kicks, etc. not sure how direct the connection is but...
