if i find something i want, i can't help but buy it! Software wise i'm much more sensible... but that never has the same power over me than hardware... which i buy compulsively! HA HA HA HA I'm the other way round . . . obsessively hoarding software like my life's dependent on it . . . (hence this ...

doesn't reorganizing your sample folder make it so you can't use old projects properly? the progam wouldn't be able to find the samples. which is why you should just have them well organized from the beginning. It used to be like that (which is probably how I got anal about organization) but the la...

and i still don't think there's anything wrong with wobble, try using more subtle wobbles and combining multiple lfos all doing subtle wobbles, sounds less obvious and combined with other techniques can sound good! no theres nothing wrong with wobble its just over used. I love it, and i'm not tired...

If you try and use 20 different synths you will get nowhere fast... Take time to study 1 synth until you know it inside out... then you will able to get the best out of it and apply what you've learnt to new synths :6: Totally agree. Not going after all the equip, that would be impossible, or at th...

Stopping production to actually learn your equipment
Decided I'm tired of doing things the hard way / randomly tweaking knobs / scrolling presets for hours with no real understanding of what I'm doing or why . . . Been doing this for years only to watch other people who (especially the Pros) took the time to read manuals properly, get on with much mor...

I thought he was quite informative, and I got alot from it: much more than Mistabishi's, and Mista was extremely detailed--he bored me. Rusko got str8 to the point. EPIC WINdubz wrote:his setup is ghetto as fuck - acid>??? are you kidding me!
was hoping he would be a little more specific...oh well...

When you start using the same formula as everyone else then everything's going to sound the same True, but to some extent that's the objective. You at least want to sound like the genre you're trying to make, which invariably involves some structure rules . . . I dunno. I think I'll scale it back f...

Ez. I'm new to Dubstep, not new to production. What I'm finding is, it's a bit harder than I thought to unlearn years of programming other styles, to "simplify" my drum patterns. To research deeper, I bought 13 tracks from Beatport the other day and have played them non stop. Today a light...
