Grammatical discussions aside, very spot on post. Just study sound design and learn your synths inside out. If this is really your hobby/possible future profession this type of shit should be your bread and butter.

Ohmicide every time for me, but if your on fruityloops the fast distortion does the job acceptably if you cant get hold of anything else. fruitys stock plugins are pretty good generally tbh.

I guess its about what you look for in music really. I think that when music is more integral to people's lives, they often have a much bigger taste than someone who just needs a tune to go jogging to or something.
