Re: Who used to rave at FWD pre smoking ban?

Was it just coincidental timing, or did the smoking ban help push forward the more "bro" like sounds of the genre? It did seem like peeps went from smoking to smashing in pills and at the time it did seem like that was having an impact but maybe it would have happened regardless? I think ...

Who used to rave at FWD pre smoking ban?

Good time were had by all. Dubstep was known as the FWD sound and there was about 20 people in the club raving to Hatcha and Plastician. Everyone (nearly) was smoking weed!

Re: How do you come up with your songs?

I tend to listen to music for a bit before i feel to make any. Mostly Virus Recs and No U Turn Recs get me in the studio mood. I make raw and abused sounds on my Virus C or do the same in an instrument plug. I'll make a load of sounds and record them into the session. This will mostly be a session i...

Re: A++ Obscurity via Momentum [Dubstep/Hip Hop] Dark

Feeling this. Vocal could be nestled in the mix better at times. Like the breakdown a lot but wish the amen break was a bit more predominant when it kicks in. A bit of eq can solve that.

Re: Martial Law (Original Mix)

Take some of the tops off the tune, the snare and occasional riser are a bit sharp. This will free up some space for other elements to become more defined in your mix.

From the intro i didn't think id like the drop but this has a nice energy. Perhaps have some percussion in the start to make it more interesting.

Great idea here. Like the way it progresses. Right towards the end it begins to feel like a bad trip :6:

The original is only available on Vinyl and the refix was released on Vinyl via Boka Records a few years back. The refix is available on digital, its 120 bpm.

D1 is a sick producer, not sure if he will release any more music under the alias now though, so this may be the last.
