Re: Program relations
If you want to integrate many different programs, you should use a plugin-host like Ableton or FL Studio as your main DAW, and use an instance of Reason rewired inside it. It works very well.

Who's on that Melodyne editor?
Just purchased the full version meself. As a piano player, I find this thing to be an insane tool for learning; I threw in a 1965 live recording of Bill Evans playing a beautiful intro, and it split the notes up so I could learn the whole damn thing! Future! I've also found it just an immense pleasu...

Re: Burial - Lambeth
Surely Lambeth // Feral Witchchild would be the most coveted record of all time? 10000 quid on discogs, and all the emo heads suiciding themselves because it sold out weeks before even being released

Re: Kick Drums
but when i high pass at 70 i loose all the bass in the kick Damn right you do! Let the truth be known - - - ! 60 is the frequency that moves the people. But the laws of physics dictate that you cannot have a sub bass (for example 40-60hz) occur with a 60hz kick without distortion and general misery...

Now I'm pretty forgiving when it comes to poor use of the English language on the internet, but you're launching a book here! Proof-read your shit! Your OP has colloquialisms, poor punctuation, dangling modifiers, the works. Even casual promotions on forums should be spiffy - after all, you're tryin...

Re: How do you go about producing emotions?
My vote for most emotionally evocative anything: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTYUyDjVCRU This kind of colour is mad of course, but the essence of these harmonies is in the 7th and 9th chords, known today as the Detroit 'stack chord' used in nearly every dub techno tune in existence. It has a jazz...

Feeling the last one (2:04) for sure. Now make a rude snare to match it and you're on your way.

Re: Feedback on these snares?
Easier to shanghai nice samples from existing tunes. Thing about the dub-step is that it almost always has a ridiculous snare mastered right to 0db... making it quite easy to shank if the producer generously provides a bass-free intro. But don't be a lazy thief! Layer them up, add EQ, distortion, tr...

That's weak that they are deterring people from using certain chord progressions...fucking Debussy did everything in like the late 1800s, stuff that was much more daring than C major to A major...

I missed this when it came out...
blindingly heavy and dark. A perfect reply to the supposedly "hard" dubstep of the now..

Re: Perfect electro house kicks?
Or you can always shanghai the bottom end of someone else's kick by throwing a hard LP filter on a section where the kick occurs without bass, then layer another HP'd kick above it to add timbre.
