Not sure if this will work, but i often have problems using 8 bit samples (not in ultrabeat). i just open them in sountrack pro and export as 16 bit. works ok after that.

half past four at the moment, i've slept 3 hours in as many days.
There are benefits though, loads of time to make tunes, walk in the woods at night, etc. I find that the world is so different at night, especially with the strangeness of not sleeping...
