Albino3 FTW, you can get some nice grimy wobs out of it if you screw with the spectral waves

Re: is production too easy?
I disagree, its taken me the best part of a year to get anywhere near half decent sounding, and I can safely say Iv downloaded pretty much every sample pack/ synth software going. It takes a lot of effort to master what you download.

Re: what exactly is "brostep"
why doesnt someone just make a midrange bass and back it up with a big sub, surely that has to have occurred to someone. then both crews would be able to hate on you

Re: gain structure and mixing aka THE MONEYSHOT THREAD
Macc, you are a legend, my mixing improved so much after reading all your advice on here, and all the other guys that gave tips too. My question is iv mixed my track to the rough levels you suggested, but my midrange sounds really flat and lifeless, have you any ideas for giving it a bit of punch?

The original sierra leones by freshly ground, who had something to do with last years world cup song or something, and their version is called I'd Like for all those who are interested, once you hear that, you'll hate mt.eden more for ruining that song.

Why does Soundcloud ruin my upload?
I make a tune on my DAW, the mixdown sounds punchy and just right, rendered it and it still sounds the bollocks, upload to soundcload and bam it sounds shit. Why does this happen?

Re: Favourite aspect of production?
I like making basses, its so rewarding to get a unique and more importantly usable sound after what often ends up as hours of messing around with albino. also getting the final arrangement sorted and seeing it all come together, its a relief sometimes.

The XX, crystallised and basic space being my favourite tunes of theirs, A couples of songs of Deadmau5es new album, arrogant nobcheese that he is, The drums for when im in a good mood and a bit of benga for my dubstep influence. Re: Hi Hat Patterns
I use maybe three hat samples for my basic pattern, and rather than programming the hits in, I use the step sequencer in FL to draw in patterns over the three channels. When I saw draw in, I mean like make the buttons light up in pretty shapes. Way more fun. If it sounds shit, delete and start agai...
