Re: Wrong frequency?
Maybe I'm missing something...but if the original sample isn't a C1 playing it at C1 is relative...right? If you record a C4 sample from a synth then play it in Logic's sampler at C1 that isn't necessarily really C1 right? Lol...I'm lost as hell man, sorry. This quite possibly may be the issue. If ...

Re: Sound Design & Song Improvising w/o Controller
You are looking for a new way to do this w/o a controller just using a mouse? I mean besides recording while you are doing this or doing things in a different order I'm not sure how different you can make the process w/o changing the input method. Honestly playing in things live via some kind of &qu...

I don't know what the compression is doing on a few kicks at the beginning and one on the end, but fuck it, I don't really care right now. http://tonescientist.com/audio/Partial_Explanation.mp3 Those glassy synth patches are lush man...and digging dat beat. :Q: Fuck...inspired by all this... :Q: :Q...

There is no tasteful way to use that, so...who makes that tackiest dubstep?

Re: Who's frequency chart is it anyways?
What difference does it make that one person says the low-mids start at 250 and one person says they start at 200. I don't see any usefulness in making that concrete. Charts like these kinda feel like using a buzzfeed article in a research essay...

Re: Gear lust
Pro 2 is beef. Would definitely want. I think I'd need the extra voices though. For the love of god I'm playing two handed chords now. I can't play so I'm not that arsed about it. Pro 2 does have paraphony, don't know how that actually plays out sonically. Its probably apples and oranges, however, ...

Re: Gear lust
I think you may beat me to that p08 at the rate you're going. Eh. I'm kinda off the P08 at this point. I'm quite set on polychaining a Tetra to the Mopho keys. I'm pretty interested in the Pro2 actually. I know a musician on another forum who has been kicking some serious ass with a Pro2 and we are...

Re: Gear lust
I think all gear should have to look as cool as the that vcr that looked like mondrian mopho looks fun btw The Mopho is a beast...I'm I"m ready to fall in love w/ it all over again as a knobby, keyboard synth. The module w/ no editor or MIDI controller is for the birds though...unless you are ...

Re: Good reminder of why you shouldn't always trust your ear
To try to be useful: listening on YouTube, as we know, means the file has been heavily compressed--MP3 compression usually looses some high end and low end content, though typically I seem to recall people mostly noticing high end. I wouldn't be surprised if an iPhone headphone jack had some kind of...

Hearing some of this stuff at home, I can't even imagine listening to it all night on a club system.

Re: Good reminder of why you shouldn't always trust your ear
It strikes me has hilarious and sad that all these so-called "pro" dubstep artists are cranking out tracks with shite mixes that sound so bad you can't possibly listen to their music for very long and people are "avoiding listening" to whole albums. How is that "pro" at...

Re: Headphones: Hd800/LDC's Worth it?
yea...EQing monitors/headphones doesn't really work. Considering how good heaphones half that price are I honestly can't imagine blowing over 1K on headphones...even if you can't use monitors or can't often use monitors and can't use them in a treated room if you could...still doesn't seem worth the...
