Re: Is This a Legitimate Mixing/Mastering Technique?
Weird thread. I don't really understand what the OP is trying to achieve. Surely just mixing and leaving a few db of headroom should be fine. Most people have volume controls on their DAW, audio interface and monitors. So setting a good listening volume shouldn't be a problem. By mixing too quietly...

Re: Too Many Plug-Ins (Logic Pro User)
Unfortunately not. This is a much requested feature for the next version of Logic, and it would save so much time. I also find I miss out on quality plugins because of this.
Protools does it, reaper does it, cubase does it... why not logic? we will have to wait and see

Re: Layering bass with mono sub vs. mid-side EQ
You can do that, but by having a separate sub channel gives you more overall control as its in its own channel ect...
I tend to do mid-side eq after I buss all the basses together anyway towards the end for a final polish and tweak

Re: Native Instruments should..
Massive already added new wavetables - Massive Expansion 1 and 2, which are now included as standard. I doubt they'll add any new packs now, hopefully they'll be making Massive 2. Are you sure? Because it would probably mean a whole upheaval of the whole synth. I was under the impression that the e...

Re: Should I? Mountain Lion
If it aint broke, dont fix it.
Although saying that I have had all my audio units working fine throughout the upgrade from SL to Lion and then to ML.
The latest logic update addressed some gui lag issues. Im going on a hunch but I bet when apple drop the new logic on us, I bet its ML only compatible.

Re: Logic: Using Stereo Output As An Input

The first time it happened to me I was just clicking away and then WTF WAS THAT?!?! it sounded like a thousand bitcrushers scr...
