Re: Recommended 2013 Albums

Anyone mentioned the Pharmakon album on Sacred Bones? That's a good one.

I like the music, just not in that context. Using familiar music breaks the illusion a little & damages the atmosphere for me.

I've always felt 'Lost Highway' was painfully overlooked, up there with Lynch's best, imo. The only problem I have with it is the nu-metal soundtrack.

Re: Recommended 2013 Albums

I never really got into Bonobo. Always struck me as dull, coffee table kind of music. Probably alright as background music. There was one track a mate had on in his car once that was alright.

'Fun House' is only about 35 mins long and it's possibly the best album of all time.

Apocalypse Now is far & away my favourite film. Incredible piece of work. Struggle to see which part, if any, is cheesy. Filmmaking at its finest.

Re: New Boards Of Canada Album..(Tomorrow's Harvest)

The problem I've always had with BoC is the drums. They often sound incredibly dated, and not in the nostalgic way their synths do, they just sound like 90s trip hop drums.
