Re: you may be wasting your time
Lol anyone here who says that the music actually is more than image is naive. If you can produce one decent track and happen to have a good image (something that people can attach themselves to) then you have a better chance at making it than the people on soundcloud with good song after good song b...

Re: Having trouble getting sub to audible frequency.
DISCLAIMER: If you make DMZ style dark subby dub records then all of this does not apply, as the definition of a good master is not the same as it is for a typical dubstep/EDM record. That is a typical dubstep record below 30 is like ...sublow (badumtis) 45hz is low A lot of club systems barely go ...

Re: How essential is a Sub-Woofer for Mixdowns?
I just turn the overall volume of the track down and boost everything from 20-80hz up like 6db on the master eq so I can easily hear the low end. stick an EQ on ur master bus, set it to band pass and just move the variables around to isolate different sections of ur mix? Yeah I do that too. In the ...

Re: Having trouble getting sub to audible frequency.
45hz is NOT low lol. I'd say below 35hz is low, but even below that should be able to be reproduced by any subwoofer... I used to worry about making my bass translate to laptops and shit but now I don't care. Now I pretty much only make music that hits in the lows like 35hz and below, basically I ma...

Is the reason your song in your sig has no bass because of the quality or because that's how it actually sounds

Re: SantaOMG goes against the clock
Yeah the only was i am able to record the audio from Cubase is to use the Full Duplex driver, which has horrible latency. Oh well it'll have to do for now. If it's unbearable then just do what I said and record your master and put the audio in in the editor. I'm ok with mine because it's DECENT but...

Re: Pryda Snare
a lot of trap producers use it. And by Trap I mean a random snippet of a vocal pitched either up or down played in quarter notes over an 808 and a pryda snare with random hi hats that sound like a sacada.

Depends on the sound I'm going for, but usually I always cut 40 and below from my kicks. Whether I cut above 40 depends on what I'm making
