Re: Mac equivalent of Harmor
I just don't appreciate peeps trying to find something wrong with everything I shared, when all I'm doing is sharing what I know. All good tho, it's not about me :) @SunkLow yes, and FFT morphing patch would be a royal pain in the ass - no doubt. I personally don't know enough about the intricacies ...

Kights of Pen and Paper on my ipad. fuck that game, it's so meta. in one quest you have to retrieve a 'sacred crowbar' for Nabe Gewell, on "Steam Island".. lol

Re: Solid + Clean 808's [Help]
you can make the pure sine in anything. I like soundforge because, from what little I understand, It's a really clean sine. you could do it in operator, or whatever you want really. Also, I've made decent ones in massive as well (which I then layer those 'thwomp' sounds i was talking about making) -...

Re: Why orchestra doesn't need mixing?
Instrument design, idiomatic composition, arrangement and acoustic design of concert halls means it sounds right live with no amplification . I imagine a recording to be a pretty big task but mainly based in an understanding of how the orchestra works in a room. Has anyone here ever done it? Record...

Re: Mac equivalent of Harmor
I'm deeply sorry for not remembering the exact number of partials per voice alchemy has. I really should be doing my homework on this stuff more. regardless, you'll all have better luck with cross-mod synthesis. Blingly, you're cool. EDIT: now I remember why I left this forum - I'll try again next y...

Re: Reaktor
or you can play with ~tapin and ~tapout - but be sure to turn down your volume as close to "off" as you can.
late night sessions making karplus-strong patches, a web of ~tapin and ~tapout objects, and the wrong float value can result in some... ahem... feedback
don't drink and MSP

Re: Why orchestra doesn't need mixing?
i used to be in an orchestra and its mad how different it soudns from in the middle as it were, like i was sat at the left centre and basically all i could here were the timps behind me and the brass blasting out to my left while the violins and cellos were practically inaudible but then on a recor...

Re: Solid + Clean 808's [Help]
soundforge, synthesize a hi-res pure sine at 40-45 hz that's around 10 seconds long. bring it into the sampler of your choice, add the envelope you want. toss a mid on there, maybe something for higher frequencies too. or be like me and get a bunch of stomp sounds (record yourself slapping big piece...

Re: Mac equivalent of Harmor
lastly, I spent around 14 hours a day for a month figuring this out. maybe I'm a slow learner, but it's paid off. I'll give anything I've ever made away, I'll share my tunes, or techniques with anyone, but my bass sample folder? gotta pry that from my cold, dead, hands. 120 samples, all about 4 bars...

Re: Mac equivalent of Harmor
there is no mac equivalent of Harmor. I've got a "try before you buy" version of Alchemy, it sucks. HARDLY decent resynthesis - what Harmor is doing is additive resynthesis, similar to NI's Razor, but with the ability to utilize a shit-ton of partials (harmonics) for the resynthesis proces...

New EP from me!
Hey everyone, I spent a fair amount of time on this EP, and I wanted to share it with you all. I've designed the vast majority of sounds in each track (including the 808 kicks from my hardware synth) - if you have any questions about any of the production techniques, I'd be happy to share them with ...

Re: Free Growls
I have some synth patches that these are loosely based on, but really if I were to run down the ingredients that go into making these: 1. my FM8 patches 2. Renoise 2.8 3. the Renoise project file i've been resampling these through (it's called "bass playground, and no-one's getting that :P ) wh...
