I have a folding metal cooling rack, bought from the Target kitchenware section for $12. It fits over mixers, and is expandable to adjust for mixer size. It's metal and open, so lots of airflow for your computer. Woody McBride (techno legend) recommended it to me, and it's the best $12 I ever spent....
