ive purposely always promoted the label/sound to the breaks community - thats been my bridge...in the way i dj, the tunes i play, and the stuff we sign...others do dubstep and grime...i.e kode9 or ntype... my reason was only to get sales and exposure up..which it has. Fuck... you were on the bbww f...

Music for dubsteppas
Inspired by Dubway's jolly good hint. Here are my recommendations: ambient/illbient: try some Dj Spooky , for example (forget about BoC ) or even some Jah Wobble , Bill Laswell , ...///so-called broken beats: all breakbeat should be broken, but anyway ... check out Tipper (on this site , you'll find...

The thing I love about this music is the lack of bounderies, unlike most other forms of dance music around us. I would hate for it to become defined and formulaic. That's exactly what pulled me -not completely though- from breaks to dubstep. This whole discussion seems pointless, Dubstep is such a ...

people need to separate 'cause' and 'coincidence.' True, but music is not a process happening in a social vacuum. Music inspires other music, even if not in a direct or intentional way. Pirate radio is the medium of our community: the shouts are equally as important as the dubs. Strangely corresponds with: [...] radio is that extension of the central nervous system that is matched only by human speech itself. Is it not worthy of our mediation that radio should be specially attuned...

theres so many major djs rinceing so upfront music that theres people out there cut n pasting dubs and playing them out!! [fact] What would be the point of cutting/pasting a 64-128kbit audiostream. Can't believe that anyone would dare to play out such crap. Sorry but to me the whole argumen...

Muslimgauze, together with the rootsman, made sounds that now would get classified as dubstep for sure. Check his intifada ep and you will see. Anyway, for me dubstep bears quite some resemblance to some of the stuff earlier out on the ~scape label as well. Dubstep sounds might not be unique, the co...
