Re: The Renoise Q&A thread

i started using renoise "properly" this week. how do fellow renoise users find the built in fx? i think they're alright actually. maybe i have low standards. Hi! Yes, the Renoise FX are excellent. The EQ has a few issues, so you may need to go 3rd party on that, but aside from that, once ...

Re: Sennheiser HD-25 Headphones

Massive life-long Senheisser fan here! Agree totally about them being more suited to DJing. I have a couple of different sets of Senheisser headphones, including the HD-25, HD650, and some old HD580. All have different uses, so yeah, if you are going for DJing, get the HD25. Not so say you can't pro...

Re: AUDIO: Emalkay v The Others - GDTV32 13th Oct

Listening to it now.

There is some hellish darkness on this one!

Don't know who made a lot of the tracks, but it is all brutal.

The track at 48.30 minutes-ish is SICK.

I used to love ES1 back when Logic was on Windows. Totally excellent synth, and as someone already said, you can make some superb bass sounds with it. I remember making loads and loads of patches for it back in the day. Wish I could get it as a standalone now.

16 bit;

Your Katakana is wrong.

The ツ symbol is too large.

You have it written ビツト

It should be ビット

As it is, it reads "Bitsuto"

With the correctly sized ツ symbol, it will read "Bitto", which as close to "Bit" as you are going to get in Japanese.

Yeah, I knew what you meant by 'Master Channel'. It was the Mastering Device bit I was confused about!

Got it now though.

This is not really a device, but more of a set of rendering options, I think.

Choose something from you personal life, not something which relates to what you think a certain scene would like to hear. Something from the odd banter you have with your girlfriend is always a good one. Combine a couple of phrases you say to eachother, to form something completely original, and th...

"The Autechre of Dubstep", I heard my friend say. I don't think it is a far off statement, from first impressions. Maybe wrong, completely, when you get into it more. I am certainly enjoying the sound. Can see it working in an open-minded club incredibly well. I would hate to hear this in ...

Just subtractively EQ for the time being.

Look at every track in an analyser, look for the main body frequency, and decide where the 'essence' of the sound is coming from, then chop everything else away from it.
