I think most people are aware of this to some extent, but it doesn't stop people wanting their tracks louder. It comes from insecurity really. No one want their tune to be the quiet one in a set that makes people stop dancing. Good topic. It wouldnt be the quiet one in the set, the dj has the volum...

How come mixing the rest of the track quieter in relation to the snare is working? coluld be you need a more aggre...

I love music by that Zomby mad lad. I've been driving round to Where were you in '92? the last week or two. He now owns all airhorn samples in my book, after that album it'll be airhorn=Zomby. Hardcore all the way. I'd be nodding away to that album thinking back to posts he made on here and its funn...

Because your article, though great in many respects, is a bit long on how dubstep is going to hell in a handcart if people don't Do Something About It, but a bit short on what we the punters can actually do beyond wring our hands and complain... wordcount on the lows in dubstep in '08 = 340 wordcou...

I'd like to add -Babylon system, Noah D - Examination of time. Although I wish there was a simpler arrangement of it. The first 64 bars again and again for 5 minutes with maybe the breakdown kept in would of done me better. This is where I say hats off to Coki for Spongebob, no extra layers in the s...

Tell him to play with the idea of drums being half the speed of the Bass which is a lot of fun after producing 120-174 drums for years and years. Also tell him to stop worrying about his kick cutting through his Bassline, after years of stressing, he can relax on that. Tell him to lose the plot with...

i think that increased tempos...more stateside oriented influence, and the dnb influx in general will ruin dumbstep way more than we can even imagine They're too late. It's already been ruined by the influx of moshers, nu-rave kids, trendies, chavs, pill monsters, emo kids, internet neeks, ginger p...
