Re: OmegaMode/Barely Alive drum fills.

Why has no one said that at all? I've read FL's manual, watched Seamless' vids and scoured reddit yet no one at all has ever mentioned that you can set min max in automation clips. How did I not know this?? :o haha FL is filled with amazing hidden features... I only discovered recently that you can...

Re: OmegaMode/Barely Alive drum fills.

Just program them yourseld and eq and compress, I was doing it recently with the stock ableton tom samples because they're all tuned really well, with a bit of eq and compression they sound amazing! The stock drum samples plus macros are the only thing I'm jealous of that Ableton has and FL doesn't...

Re: What is wrong with shit?

I've noticed this a fair bit, although I've never really been a commenter on SoundCloud so I'm probably part of the problem lol, From my experience on my own and other people I follow tracks, the plays aren't sufferring but comments are, imo it seems less people comment these days and instead just h...

Not sure if trolling. Preview sounds horrible. Like mromgwtf said, the trick is balancing loudness vs. transients.

Super saws.
It's about the notes you play more than the actual sound.

Re: Setting levels with pink noise

correct me if I'm wrong but ideally wouldn't you want white noise that was EQ'd to match an equal-loudness contour? it seems to me it wouldn't be that hard to just make an eq preset with some noise that accomplishes this Thats essentially what pink noise is isn't it... equal energy throughout the s...

Re: Setting levels with pink noise

I've used this before, still use it tbh when setting up and checking an initial mix. Works best if you get a good source file (i.e. 16bit+ wave file, don't use some shitty compressed mp3 file). It essentially allows you to set set the levels so that your overall spectrum fits the same profile as a p...

Re: Spinup ?

This is a simple distribution service, there's a lot of them about that you can pay to have your music distributed onto major online stores. They do claim to have an A&R team backed by Universal Recs. but I bet it's rare that they pick people up. It's not really like signing to a label, since yo...

Re: Help on this unfinished Drop?

You have way too much going on, there's weird panning on things (like the kick sounds panned left).

Work on getting sounds to flow into one another and creating space in your mix... it sounds muddy atm.

Re: Anyone know a cultivating set of tutorials for FL Studio

You don't need tutorials, honestly the best way is experimenting. Come up with some good chords/melody and just load in a synth you want to learn. Start from the basic preset and try and make the sounds you want, use the manual if you get stuck. Also if you're really stuck on how the synth does cert...

Re: Barely Alive Rifle Blow Kiss

Tbh it's not something I'd do but it works for them and it gives them that super compressed "loud" sound, but to me it ends up making your drums sounds kinda clumpy and from experience I find it really hard to maintain the transients on your drums doing it this way. It depends on what you...

Re: Barely Alive Rifle Blow Kiss

Yeah I didn't notice that they hadn't mixed the fader down, so they're obviously sending the kick and snare in hot to their pre-master channel where they compress the drums with the midrange/bass which then gets send to their master with more limiters... explains why the mix sounds super compressed....

Sup guys. Trying to make a couple posts today. That pluck is actually in vengeance club 3 in the percussion or synth shot folder. I forget which one. Funny story behind that sound though... So we obviously love skrillex and recess, but that is not where the inspiration came from lol. Our really goo...

Madeon & Porter Robinson come to mind... they were picked up because of their tracks and then thrust into DJ'ing.

Re: Barely Alive Rifle Blow Kiss

From what I understood they do stuff similar to me - mix the drum buss to zero, then brring down the drum buss fader in line with the other buss faders. Essentially like mixing down twice - once on each buss then once on the master.

I kinda cringed when I heard that in the track, because it's like a Recess ripoff. Good find though.

I bought a pair of AKG K702's recently, found them invaluable so far. I would expect the K612's aren't far of performance wise.
