Re: Problem in FL
Have you tried changing the root note in the channel settings for the instrument you are trying to play? Also your controller may have a transpose function on it that's creating the problem or some come with additional software for mappings and you can remap.

Re: Any Reinforced heads here?
Cannot rem who was telling me but I think Reinforced were doing a remix thing not long ago that involved giving out stems from old releases. I will ask em later. Maybe you were thinking of Kniteforce...They gave out a lot of their stuff, but with limitations: http://www.kniteforcerevolution.com/mus...

Re: FL studio 9 bouncing to audio problem
Also bounce to wav instead of mp3. You are only hurting your production quality by using compressed audio files.

Re: Do you guys think this is legit?
Well you can download it right off their site:
http://www.steinberg.net/index.php?id=902&L=1
Might just be an update, but if you login to their customer site, you should probably be able to get a license for it. If not, just try contacting them and I'm sure they can get you sorted.

Re: An FL Studio Question
you should be able to use templates in 4 too. i'm not sure about it saving mappings in older versions though cause i haven't used any controllers until recently. i setup templates and presets with my mappings as soon as i got my mpd because i didn't want to be linking that shit everytime and there's...

Re: An FL Studio Question
yeah, remove the limiter on the master and then you'll see that your levels are probably way too loud. think they added it to the default template in 8 and a bad decision IMO. should be the first thing you remove and then set up your own templates and effects chains to make your workflow quicker. ve...

Re: does anyone not use a midi controller?
Producing since '99 with FL and haven't used any controllers until recently. I have an MPD32 that I like using for banging out drums quick and for automation and mixing. Also have a Casio CTK-591that I use for bass, keys, and such. I think a keyboard controller is only good if you actually know how ...

Re: What is Best Audio Interface for under $300?
The NI Audio Kontrol is probably the only one in that price range that has 192 kHz quality...most in that range only have 96 kHz. I don't know how good their converters are though. Has 103db SNR, where other USB/Fireware interfaces or even cards in the same range have less noise...not that you'd rea...

Re: FL9 hangs when rendering files
yeah, i always save before rendering. i don't really use any non-FL plugins other than antress vfme compressor and waves l2 on my master and massive for bass every now and then. i'd have to wait for it to happen again and check the plugins to narrow it down. i checked image-line's forums and it's a ...

same thing's been happening to me and not sure what's causing it. it does render the file completely, but just hangs. not sure if it's a certain plugin causing it or what.

Re: AMEN BREAK.. EQ'D PERFECT READY TO GET TWISTED
well i deleted the files i had up. they weren't "twisted" as you say. they were the original break and a couple with eqing/process/cleaning up. what you want is someone to eq something for you to your tastes and that's not gonna be possible unless they're in your head. get better headphone...

Re: AMEN BREAK.. EQ'D PERFECT READY TO GET TWISTED
best to process yourself bud so you can get the sound you're after. personally i don't prefer layering any other hits over it unless that's the sound i'm going for. i generally like to keep it original, high pass at the kick, bring up the snare and cymbals a bit, and then distort/compress to make it...

Re: fl installation ...
Is there a great gap beetween 8 and 9 ? Not really. The last tweaked parameter being moved to a different menu is one of the only major things. Good to check the change log and version history whenever a new version comes out. http://flstudio.image-line.com/documents/history.html Functionally, ther...

Re: question about buffering
the buffer length really shouldn't have any relation to the loudness of your hats. something else is probably going on there, but yeah, either get an audio interface or use the ASIO drivers to solve the latency issues. the ASIO drivers should already be installed as they come with FL. i'd take a loo...

Re: DJs... What do you think of Ableton laptop DJs?
i could care less what people use, but if you want to complain about abelton djs just pressing play...it's no different than playing cdjs with all of your tracks stretched to the same bpm. i'm sure some people do it so they don't have to worry about beat matching. a lot of dubstep is 140bpm anyway s...

Re: i have soo MIDI questions...
word. didn't know you were on here. 512 is standard. if you still have latency issues with that, then i don't know. shouldn't unless your computer is super old or the onboard sound or whatever sound card you are using is complete garbage.

Re: Headphones With Sub IN EACH EAR??!!
well if you just want bassy headphones, then they should suit you well. one downside to them is you are going to be changing batteries a lot if you use them regularly. i read a review on them on their site and a guy that used them daily said he had to change the batteries 3 times a week.

Re: Headphones With Sub IN EACH EAR??!!
well for producing you should always use flat or neutral headphones otherwise you aren't getting an accurate listen and your tunes aren't going to translate as intended across different systems. doesn't mean they wouldn't have bass, they just don't apply eqs to accentuate different freqs. you'd prob...
