I have a Tascam 122L which I'm using with Live... it's a fucking nightmare.... input lags, clicks, pops, and big crashes. The ASIO4all drivers weren't any better, and you can't run live and say youtube/VLC player at the same time (for tut's and stuff)...I'm going to smash it to pieces with a large h...

.... with a different rack for snares, kicks, hats and perc... all grouped. This way you can try out different combinations in clip view before bouncing down to audio in arrangement view, for the further mangling thereof

even on Live 8, if you have some tracks already grouped, you can't group them again anyway (as far as I know)... so copying the filter automation would be the best bet.
