It really just depends on what you're trying to achieve with the sound. Its not really a black and white; yes/no situation.

Click on 1.1.1, go to the "create" drop down on the top bar, select insert silence (command+I) and add in a bar. Will nudge your whole track properly and keep all the automation in it's proper place.

Then you can just get rid of that extra bar later when exporting your master.
