Re: Heavyweight Synths

what i meant was i dont want my hard work to get cracked by assigned or air since i would intend to sell it  i might head to kvraudio and ask advice there it is practically impossible to not have it cracked, although personally i'd take it as a compliment if team air bothered to crack my plugi...

Ableton Live tutition based in east sussex

I'm offering tuition in ableton 8, I'm able to teach from the basics going onto quite advanced concepts. This is not tuition in writing music but the actual mechanics of using ableton live. I've trialled using my space for tuition and it's worked well, I have over 5 years experience in using ableton...

obviously you don't know who hans zimmer is, any professional who is constantly working on big projects is never gonna be stupid enough or indeed will never need to photoshop their studio pics.

yeah in general the concept is simple, balance all elements of your mix throughout a tune. how succesful you are is obviously a different matter.

indeed, plenty of people who have used a program for years don't necessarily know all the options that program has.

Re: The Ableton Q&A Thread

yeah probably because of how quickly you're trying to work the compressor, i'm guessing the threshold is down quite low with a quick attack time? you may be right, i normally have the threshhold low so ill play around with it any other suggestions? show me the compressor settings? but if there's a ...

Re: Ableton Operator vs Massive

all my synth work starts from scratch unless its a patch i've already made in another project so fuck dealing with a synth that i hate programming. if i can't get the sound of operator chucking a couple or more in an instrument rack usually gets the job done. there are some sounds like detuned saw b...

Re: Ableton Operator vs Massive

FM8 sounds great but a fucking nightmare to program, absolutely detest the interface so meh to FM8 and operator still wins.

the above is correct though, if you know synthesis then you can take whatever simple synth and get good sounds out of it.

Re: The Ableton Q&A Thread

Hey guys. Really basic question here but I've come from FL studio and one of the great perks was that I could easily add effects, e.g reverb on a vocal. Within Ableton, I can't find a way to add such effects. When I put in a sample, I seem to have only a few choices, those being warp and being able...

Re: Anyone else using Largo?

it's a sick synth, demoed it for a while but never really gelled with it even though i did like it's sound. i know ableton's operator so well that i can do just about 90% of my synth work in there, occasionally use dune though that does have a somewhat similar sound to largo. this thread has made me...

all about the hyrbrid ssl desks (think its duality?), work as controllers for your DAW for each channel but the eq's and comps are analog, sick!
