Re: MC's?

there are very few people who can MC well. too many deluded mic mans out there. some of the better hosts (in my opinion) include

Chunky
Pokes
P Money
Brother Culture

the scene could do with more decent singers too. for sure.

not exactly, but bits are creeping into his show with some of the grime MCs. don't think he's a fan of the wobble judging by his response to chase & status.

Re: What are Photek ect. up to these days?

I think Photek is in the states, possibly writing hip hop and other bits with heads like DJ Craze.

Photek is the one. Got to be as important as anyone else in the progression of the UK scene.

Re: Mastering and Pressing - who to use?

for propper vynil I am afraid you are going to need to pay for a pro master. Why are you getting vynil pressed ? cant you just use digital or cd. if its for demo / fun and you need a 12" then get a dubplate rather. You can press much fewer than 300. Also any dubious self mastering can be maske...

Re: the latest foriegn beggars album isn't that good

Beggars have been holding it down in the UK hip hop scene for ages now. 3 sick albums, several good mixtapes, a few good videos and hundreds of live shows. The third album is a lot more varied beats-wise and I like the fact that they've got a lot more of a soul influence on this one. Certainly not f...
