Yea this Grim thing is getting out of hand. I know of at least one or two people who enjoy the dubstep and/or grime sound and have got very confused about some 'new genre' called Grim(m). It's about 4 or 5 records on one label that are slightly derivative of the sublow sound. That's it. End of. Yea...

Yeah Monkey Steak did Grim Dubs Vol 1. Atki2 is one half of Monkey Steak, his partner in crime being Hanuman. Atki2 releases through Shadetek. Atki2/Monkey Steak kinda approach the whole grime/dubstep/sublow scene from a breakcore background which I think is refelected in their production. Like Bubo...

Some wicked suggestions on here... I would like to see... Distance Pressure (Money honey is sooo good. Wanna hear more!) Skream I also notice mention of Atki2 and Forsaken. Two top quality Bristol based producers both with quite unique takes on the sound imo. I'm gonna be cheeky here with a little p...

There's definately a healthy scene growing here in Bristol (respect to ThinKing, Pinch, Blazey & Gutter). Whilst there aren't many nights dedicated to Dubstep (only Subloaded/Context springs to mind) a small selection of nights are starting to programme dubstep & grime into their lineups. I ...

I would agree with ThinKing that some Stereotyp productions have a real Dubstep feel to them. Check out 'My Sound' from 2003 on G Stone. Some tunes on there are sublow all the way I also reckon the rootsman point is spot on. Lots of his mid to late 90's dub productions also have extremely similar so...

Man I love living in Bristol. DOn't think my bank account does though  :D Although he's obviously too modest to mention it, Pete will also be playing at Ruffneck, along with Atki2. See u there mate! Should be an excellent night. We've also got Forensics coming down to play for us on the 10th...
