Re: Finger drum pads

I've heard of problems with the Trigger Finger and Logic, may be worth looking into Depone. Dependant on how often you use pads, may be worth getting a controller keyboard with them. For drums i normally drag n drop audio clips for kicks and snares, only use pads for the hats and cymbals. Axiom 49 ...

Re: a heartfelt plea to shackleton

lol Steve, you're pricless. Shackleton's slower technoish (I use that very loosley) stuff is gold imo. Geiom - Reminiscing (Shackleton Remix) is off the chart. p.s. Steve, with the amount of direction and critical commentary you hand out (which is more interesting than the 'biggups' crew, mind, even...

Re: Field recorders?

very very happy with my Zoom h2 for the price! Not had an enormous amount of experience using other equipment to compare but it's definitely doing a good job for me. It's nearly always in my backpack just in case some cool sounds start happening.

Similarly to Hurtdeer I attribute it to a diet of prog-rock and metal as a kid, and then diving into spots of mathrock and the like later in life - pretty much standard practice in those genres. You'd be suprised how they can be used in DJ'ing i...
