Check Orphan101, Hypno, Asusu too. Some of them aren't strictly dubstep or techno (or ahything really!), but somewhere in between.

Record releases alone don't make you that much money. Taking on lots of remixes can boost it a bit, but still not hugely. Basically, making a living usually requires lots of gigs. Metric modulation can cause madness! I have tried it a few times, and been surprised at how much I use the musical parts of tunes to beatmatch, not just the beats, and that gets trickier when the phrases are out of time even if the beats are kind-of locked...
