problem with projectors is that the fan is gonna kick in, then you'll have a fan in the studio - not the best thing :) I love monitors for my own listening enjoyment. I find nearly all hi-fi systems either really syruppy or really brittle. Once you get used to a flat response, anything else is hard ...

self-administered gun-powder cauterization is still the pinnacle of badness.

You should get the DVD for First Blood, the extra features include 'top secret dossiers' on all the characters, the one for Rambo alone is like 14 pages, hahahahahaha

Re: Preparing a track for dubplate

3. I've noticed that the max time per side on a dubplate depends on the output level... what's the advantage of a higher output level/why does it shorten the amount of time per side? I believe this is down to the fact that if the shorter the song is, the less grooves you need per inch, allowing you...

I'll use a multiband comp as a finishing tool.

But if I was going to send a tune for mastering, I'd take the multiband comp off, let the mastering engineer do it.

1. another self-taught person here. I take advice from anyone. Technically speaking, not many people can offer useful advice, but in terms of what sounds good or how a tune feels, I'll listen to anyone who has something interesting to say about a tune. 2. I usually mix while writing. Since everythin...
