Re: DayZ: An open-world, perma-death zombie survival game
Im down to play u can add me on skype af824473 Goes for anyone that plays I'll give you a bell when my mic arrives. Re: DayZ: An open-world, perma-death zombie survival game
Does it have its own model when its lying on the ground or does it look like ammo yeah, it looks like a brown paper parcel. So it seems the best way to play this is to have a reasonably large group and make a base. And spend time harvesting/ferrying supplies. And for fun squad pvp, sniping, mugging...

Re: DayZ: An open-world, perma-death zombie survival game
@phigure: well I'm running 1.7.2.4 so I guess I'll try it, I'll drop my backpack just in case tho. @wobbles: just in a residential house in the village below the NW airfield. I think the chance of that is less than 1%. A good thing to do if you have the patience or a vehicle is to look for camps on ...

Re: DayZ: An open-world, perma-death zombie survival game
Wow! I found a Ghillie suit!
But I heard that it can transport you to the middle of the ocean and lose all your backpack items and other bizarro weird shit. So I'm kinda' scared to put it on. Has anyone had experience of this?

Re: DayZ: An open-world, perma-death zombie survival game
is it ok just to use a cheapo <£10 mic, for the voip? Yep...I use an old PS3 Singstar mic which someone gave me for VOIP. Mic placement, as ever, is the key! A lot of servers had disabled in-game VOIP but recently it seems to be enabled on most servers. We spent about 3 hours in Cherno the other da...

Re: DayZ: An open-world, perma-death zombie survival game
I almost didnt bother getting this game. But yes, ok, its all-kinds-of-ace. Now I gotta get a mic, so is it ok just to use a cheapo <£10 mic, for the voip? Cos' I got a decent condenser but I can't use it, for various reasons, so I dont want to spend much. Specifically is the signal-to-noise ratio a...

i've been thinking, 2012 could be the next step in human evolution. maybe someone will find a way to activate their pineal gland and use the other 90% of their brain. Is that a joke? your perception of the human spectrum is a joke wow, you actually belive the falsehood that we only use a small % of...

Re: What game are you playing?
Holy Shit are those screen shots or renders ^ I need a new racing game but Project Cars is in beta isn't it? How is it? Replaying Bioshock by the way. It's probably the best shooter since half-life. I suggest everyone plays it. It's beta but it's community funded. So you can pay as little as 10 € a...

Re: Can 'binary' and 'spectrum' both be extremes of a single
just because electrons occupy certain orbitals does not mean that space is quantized. electrons outside of atoms, for example, can still move at distances smaller than that. I didn't say that the digital energy of an electron orbit was the reason space is quantised. The digital energy of an electro...

Re: Can 'binary' and 'spectrum' both be extremes of a single
Digital is a poor word to use, you should be saying discrete. WIKI: 'A digital system[1] is a data technology that uses discrete (discontinuous) values.' :4: Whether the universe is discrete or continuous is completely unproven and still up in the air. Yes, there's Planck length (and time), but tha...

Re: DayZ: An open-world, perma-death zombie survival game
Quick question guys. I was thinking of getting me a GTX 460. As my 8800gts doesnt quite cut the mustard, but ive just found this for sale. Bear in mind that the rest of my current computer isnt great. Ive got a 2.7ghz dual core E7300 processor and 2gb of ram in a 4 year old dell inspiron. AMD Quad ...

Re: Can 'binary' and 'spectrum' both be extremes of a single
I keep seeing people try to ascribe this system [binary] to physical things though, which is foolish since number systems are entirely a human construct. EVERYTHING IS DIGITAL, EVERYTHING! Space/time, matter/energy. It's ALL digital and so can be expressed in binary terms. The only exception to thi...
