Replaced the upload with a new mixdown which has a better snare I think.

Feel your comments AMG and Sovereign, I find myself getting overly OCD about the snare in a lot of my mixdowns and I reckon it messes with my hearing a bit lol. One of those things I still need to master.

Don't worry about sticking to "roots". Music stagnates when people try to abide by arbitrary rituals. I know you have noble intentions but try not to constrain yourself like that mate :) Don't be afraid to make a completely Deep Medi-esque minimal tune and whack in a snare with 200hz blown...

Nice work. Not really feeling the melody and synth but that's just imo. Those drums however are killer.

Drums and low end sound pretty tight to me. I'd work on the lead, sounds a bit muddy and could do with more prominence.

The main strings melody actually started off as the bridge to some insane tearout bit that I eventually scrapped.

Feedback appreciated.

+1 on the intro, found it hard to fight the temptation to skip it.

Drop is nice though, I reckon it is perhaps OVERLY minimal though. Some new elements could be introduced at various points throughout the drop. Would keep up the interest and spice things up.
