Re: Any FL studio Users Making garage?

Re: power amp for passive monitors
Why would you settle for less power? If your monitors are underpowered you will experience a degradation in sound at higher volumes. Massive distortion, etc. would you say that something like the alesis ra150 that pushes just 75w per channel would be totally unadvisable then? (i have one of these j...

power amp for passive monitors
how much is too much? my speakers are rated 200w rms and i have a choice between an amp that pushes 150 watts rms and one that pushes 500w rms. its an extra 100 bucks for me to get the 500w one, so im wondering, is the improvement im gonna hear really worth it, or should i just hang with the smaller...

oberheim dmx vs tr-909
DMX http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahbeYqnmgww tr-909 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWAk07r5PMI two classic drum machines.. which do you guys think is better?? i feel like dmx is very underrated, 909s cost way more, but they do have a way of cutting thru just about anything in a mix, always slaps. ...

Re: Lil Foot - New Colony (dark sci-fi dungeon w/ midrange d
Some of the opening perc hits seem to be louder than others in the mix. Could so with some variation on the beat programming, the finger cymbal sound in particular is quite regimented. The bass chords that kick in with the main part of the tune are nice, give a proper dark feel to it, however again...

Re: producing at 280 bpm??
If you're building your beats on the step sequencer in FL, then using 280bpm is justified, same with if you use a tracker (like Renoise) 280 can give you better resolutions for composition.
