Re: Vektra - Parabellum (Epic Dubstep)
Cool visual. Cool sound and cool ideas. Not enough melodic variation for my taste. And the mixdown leaves something to be desired but im not versed well enough in mixing to really be of much help there. I think you got skills u just need to work on adding variation IMO [a problem im all too familiar...

Re: C. Esteban - 37
Its mixed well enough and has a cool feel to it. But I agree thats a bit repetitive. There isnt much variation thruout the song and it kinda seems like you made half of it then copied it all and pasted it and made an outro. I think you should spend more time on everything and try to make your music ...

Re: My New EP....
Lol i like how one song is called Zomboy. I listened to that song it was tight man. My subs r turned too loud tho so i couldnt hear most the elements and im too lazy to get up and turn it down. Sounded legit tho. I think its too heavy on the subs compared to the rest of the frequency spectrum. Most ...

Re: To be or not to be Dubstep?
105? wot? 105bpm in 3/4 with the kick on beat 1.5(?) I believe is the same as 140bpm in 3/4 with kick on 1 snare on 3. May or may not have completely made up the math there... :6: Instead of calling it beat 1.5 you could say "the kick on the 'and' of '1'.." or for an even easier way of de...

Re: How can I stereo-ize my sound without causing phasing is
Upstereo is a vst for that. Sometimes its helpful. Sometimes it trashes a sound or adds a hollow feel to the middle of the stereo image. You can also use a delay, mr bill has a good youtube video on this. Basically you just get a delay that can control the right side the left side and the middle of ...

Re: The Official Growl Bass Thread
I'm in class right now but I can try to explain it. Really this patch is a Sinharmonic 1 or you could use Sinharmonic 2, I believe I had it on Bend -. You can find the Wavetable images here -> http://quadrophone.com/massive-wavetable-images/ .But, turn the intensity all the way down, and keep the w...

Re: instra:mental - end credits
Use a sampler with some guitar samples. I have a pack of guitar samples that sound just like that. Im listening on my phone tho. If it is synthesized its probably one sound doing the rhythm in the background and one sound doing that hi not accent that hits on the 'ah' of the 1 and 2 and the 'and' of...

Chris Platow - Heading In The Wrong Direction [Electro-House
Hey guys. Just been working a little on my mixing skills with older songs I wrote. Any feedback would be appreciated as always. Good or bad. But some pointers on mixing or mastering would be really helpful right now. Anyways hope you enjoy. FREE DL https://soundcloud.com/chrisplatowmusic/heading-in-...

Re: Sound Design in Massive
Yeah i see that a lot too. And i also see ppl turn the filters to parallel but then turn the mix to only filter 1 lol. But you dont need to detune the voices for the pan positioning to work. As long as you have multiple voices and restart via gate is deactivated. Im pretty sure about that anyway

Re: Question about massive's GLOBAL TUNE?!?!
Well i turned it two octaves lower with the global tune in massive. Then i played it two octaves higher on my keyboard... Essentially playing in the same octave.. So it should sound the exact same. But it doesnt. Do you understand what im saying?

Question about massive's GLOBAL TUNE?!?!
So I have a sound Ive made in massive. It sounds great in the octave range between c0-c1. Id like to have it playing around the c2-3 range tho. So i went to the GLOBAL tab in massive and turned the global tune up 24 semitones. But now when i go up two octaves and play it, it doesnt sound the same......
