a heartfelt plea to shackleton

Post by nousd » Fri Feb 19, 2010 11:20 am

when yu come out to Oz mate
please
play dubstep
pure & simple
We have enough techstep
and ds cordial.
The newbs out here have been convinced (with rare exception)
that chainsaw & complicated
are dubstep

you know (horse power) different
pu...lease
I begeth yu
show em different

cos bristol cutting edge is not necessarily thump & techno
I'm praying yu is more evolved than that
yu is capable of overcoming fashion
yu've heard caspa in his hay-day
yu've heard the beauty
& that's what I expect of yu
dubstep, nothing less

truly IDM
truly stepppa vision
if that needs to be beyond your intellectual limitations
so be it

ignore my arrogance
consult your peers
what is dubstep?
beyond the perversities of late

you know
I know you know

give us nothing less
everything more
we'll respond

cos DUBSTEP convinces

I would appreciate your response to this petition Shackleton
it may change my mind
about you're being a "wanker".
WAIT: that's a bit harsh
you're being a "waterer-down of the spirit of stepping" in favour of techno & infill

I may be wrong
I hope I am.

What was senseless and without meaning at once took refuge in obscure exposition and language. Fichte was the first to grasp and make use of this privilege; Schelling at best equalled him in this, and a host of hungry scribblers without intellect or honesty soon surpassed them both. But the greatest effrontery in serving up sheer nonsense, in scrabbling together senseless and maddening webs of words, such as had previously been heard only in madhouses, finally appeared in...

Dear Shackleton,

when you come to Seattle, please play whatever you want. I respect you as an artist and trust your selection skills. Can't wait to boogie!

lol Steve, you're pricless.

Shackleton's slower technoish (I use that very loosley) stuff is gold imo.

Geiom - Reminiscing (Shackleton Remix) is off the chart.

p.s. Steve, with the amount of direction and critical commentary you hand out (which is more interesting than the 'biggups' crew, mind, even when I disagree), you'd think it would be easier for you to get what you want if you produced and/or DJ'ed yourself? :)

i question how much Shackleton you've actually heard.

he's never made really have dubstep or anything... i think you should prepare yourself for a minimal progressive techno with some tribal drum vibes... you don't like it.... don't go... and shut you mouth too.
