agreed, but it's just a shame to see rephlex not apart of things any longer.

'Industrial graft' by Plasticman off grime 1 is still one of the heaviest beats I've ever heard.

I don't think Rephlex is interested in dubstep at all nowadays, and to be honest i don't think it'd be a right decision for them, with the amount of new labels releasing dubstep at the moment I think they're better focusing on their usual roster. By the way, the new Bogdan Raczinsky album is awesome :)

I'd have to agree with david. Rephlex goes for off-the-wall, underdog musical projects.. I think grime/dubstep has surpassed that, ie. it's well established by now.

This is also true, but just when you think Rephlex is predictable, they do something totally unpredictable. One of my favorite labels.

o ya, mine too.. I think at one point or another I've had 90+ percent of their catalogue.. was a bit obsessive there for a while.

Grime 1 is unequalled imo.. at the time it was unique, and no one has really explored that direction since. the album was more like a transmission from another dimension. I think Rephlex could again pull something amazing off (they do quite often), except it wouldn't so much be dubstep as it's mutant cousin. and probably very poorly publicized :)
