Are you getting the warnings for blackhole exploit kit 1989 too? Dangerous bit of malware from what I have been reading about it. Just got massive in the last few days :s

Im sorry but this stuff is starting to get really old.

PHPbb makes updating the board software very simple from an admin's standpoint really, and they very frequently release service packs to fix flaws in security like this...

Instead of renaming the forums/changing the rules constantly, how bout someone consider actually doing some administration work?

The fact the most recent year on the copyright tag at the foot of the page is 2007 tells you this shit is nowhere near the most recent update for the phpbb3 series.

It's not in the mods power, it's in the admin

Messages have been sent

Bear in mind that there is only one admin, he created this site on his own six years ago and has put in hell of work just for his love of this music and is a pretty busy guy before the entitled moaning starts...

Oh of course man, I didnt mean to come off as moaning, but reading back over that post I suppose my mild sarcasm was lost in the text...

Im just saying I know dubway has an amazing passion for keeping this site running smoothly and effectively to better the music/scene/netowrking ability's of all of us, but, it seems like, as you said, hes a very busy guy. IMO, the mod staff here is excessively large and the admin staff is excessively small.

Now, I know opening a second admin acount/server FTP account would, in theory, open a security hole, and I understand that, Im not asking he just grab any random active forum member and bring them in, but... I feel like there are enough well educated, trustworthy people on here that with a little bit of scouting he could (somewhat easily) find someone who would be willing to help with tasks like updating phpbb builds/maintaining the forum from a technical, backend standpoint.

By all means, out to dubway for the AMAZING work he does given his hectic schedule, Im fascinated by how fast he got this place back after this most recent scare... But. He could not only lighten his own load but also help keep us, his members, more secure with a simple enough change like a second technical-minded admin...

Also, on a second note...

Why are those couple sections of the forum locked? Im goin nuts staring at my promo threads lol.
