Tonight!
Week Five of our eighth birthday celebrations with:
Hour 1: Double Helix (LHF/Keysound, London)
The future sound of London bass. Co-founder of London's mysterious LHf collective, Double Helix has recently come out of the shadows with a series of releases of Martin "Blackdown" Clark's Keysound imprint. In Clark's own words it's a "sound like Sun Ra's hijacked Rinse FM and is using it to communicate with the heavens." A sound rooted in the atmospheric half-step of classic dubstep cuts from the DMZ label, but which also adopts the rough textures of jungle, the sun-kissed funk of Los Angeles and more.
LHF's new album "Keepers Of The Light" is out this week on Keysound.
