It’s time for something new.
We need to reject this kind of neutered brainwashed thinking and build something vital for this era. Something totally built by, owned by - and unique to - 2013.
believe this is coming from blackdown, loooooool i'm dead.If the fact that your sound is indistinguishable from music made over decade before doesn’t scare you shitless as an artist, I’m not sure we’re on the same page here.

hey i'm not the one stating the obvious and then nitpicking it with an absolute bore of a disclosure statement.
incredible music IS being made, it doesn't mean everything has to reach the charts though
these man must watch disclosure hard to have made that blogpost imo.

They're alright, if a little bland. I'd still rather listen to the older stuff over them because it has more variety in it, so maybe the blog's right.
It's not bad music, but then it's nothing special either

Re: Blackdown - "Dear Disclousure, I wanna bet"
fukin ell poor David Guetta gettin parred
dont really get what this blogpost is trying to say really. cos if its all in reference to radio stations that would normally play david guetta then why i blackdown getting all upperty abpout it?? and all the memorable scenes/movements that he mentioned with music being unique and recognisable in certain years/decades etc werent exactly gettin played on mainstream radio were they** yee some of it was but it was mostly the crap stuff, plus music has become infinitey more corprotisd since those times.
good tunes are being made left right and center. some of em dont belong on commercial plop radio stations etc. let disclosure do their thing and provide chumps who like pop music with marginally better than average pop music.
i poopoo this article.
soz blackdown

Ignoring the few sycophantic comments in that blog, the above is pretty well said. (Although I'm sure that soon 'dubstep' will be as strong as it was in recent years - even though the name has been tarnished like f*ck).E Lijah said...
A few disjointed points... (first time ive commented on a blog for a long time, kinda retro)
Thank god Disclosure came in and made some great original material with different vocalists. Most of their contemporaries are busy 'remixing' old tunes. Whether it is cutting up old R&B vocals or Wiley beats.
Another thing im glad they are doing is saluting the roots of where they are influenced from. Look at how many people who have got big and don't do the same back. Introducing their audience to these peoples music who shoudn't just be left in those eras they were made in.
House is the sound of 2012 and 2013. Its reflected on club line ups, festival line ups the charts and in any musical corner you will find: Rinse, Boiler Room, Radio 1 etc. If you can't get into any element of it, it is going to be a long year for you!
I'm comfortable with it as a 'Grime DJ' I played a role as a compliment to Dubstep, now its as an alternative to House. Thats changed in less than 2 years.
Big up Discloseya, there was a time when the majority of people on here rated them. With popularity comes disapproval.

Yeah well said imo, all music hasnt got to be deep and meaningful, house music is what it is.TopManLurka wrote:Ignoring the few sycophantic comments in that blog, the above is pretty well said. Disclosure isnt my cup of tea and it was a pretty stupid remark to say its either us or david guetta.. and also to say that theyre not commercial

but why spend energy on music your not feeling when that energy could be spent on making good music.
i dont really understand what blackdowns trying to get at tbh?
