newcomers -> introduce yourself here
never really introduced myself so here goes. big up from Brooklyn! got into dubstep when i did a gig in Sao Paulo last year with Kode9 and had to spend a week picking my jaw up off the floor from all the bass. snagged since and spending waaaaaaaaaaaay too much money on records that are played out by the time they get to the states...

haha two threads of the same kind.
well i've been reading the forum now and then but don't contribute that much. i know more of
grime than i know of dubstep, but the sound just grabs my whole being.
i'm Bart, from Belgium. i check breaks the most, dnb, hip hop, lots more, a few rock/singersong, more jazz,
quite some classical music. i promote parties since '98, did quite some interviews with producers. together
with two friends we've the longest weekly ('Steam') in Belgium.
i'm diggin this grime/dub for about two yrs now.
i want to push dubstep and grime in future. on July 1st i've 'Biefstuk!' coming (meaning
beef-steak literally), with Target, JME, Alphman and Benga + Belgian talent (Mate and Grimelock
from this forum).
apart from that we've been meeting up with some Belgian fellow nuttahs recently : Mate, Dice,
Bunzer0, Dudeski, Grimelock and me in order to push things forward together..

not so long that this MASSIVE SOUND appears in my speakers.
I've been always looking for deep bass sound.

when I heard the first time that sound, it was just - WHOOOA - so good!!
then, since that day, I'm living for it!! following it through the net, forum like this one and dowloads (Deapoh <- thanks so much).
Thank you all making that Real . . .

Another from DOA, although been lurking on here for a bit now.
Originally from New Malden but moved to the states when I was little. However I'm relocating back to London in the early part of June. Can't wait to hit up some nights like DMZ.
I'm into producing and for a long time worked on dnb/idm tip but after hearing Vex'd, Toasty, Distance, Skream, Digital Mystikz, Kode 9, Loefah, Scarecrow, etc... I'm now hopelessly lost in the dubstep sound. Right now I'm currently working on a live dubstep set... here's an old pic of my gear: http://protean-carrier.com/images/studio.jpg
Easy Ken, Katie.

whatup all, Matt Shadetek here. Producer + DJ, originally from NYC, now living in Berlin.
I'm more from the grime side of things but also make hiphop, dancehall, and electronica. I discovered Dubstep after hearing Mala + Joe Nice at Dubwar in NYC last winter and being totally blown away. Been dipping my toes in slowly since, even produced a few tunes (dunno if they're exactly dubstep but they're my take on it). I'm into the more colorful parts of the sound, I like the darkside as well but it's not really what's moving me right now.
