I believe at the last meeting it was descided that they were going to wrap things up and shut down the genre for good in mid '09. Will probably be illegal after that so get in while you can.

Personally I'd recomend maybe do a bit more research and try and predict what the next big genre is going to be and see if you can get your foot in the door there? I hear hear they are going to release scrote-core in 2010 and it's going to blow up bigtime. Maybe try and get in early.

The way things are going in the wobble camp i expect by 2009 we will be listening to double time beats and wobbles that oscillate about 2000 times a second. The government will eventually step in to out-law the seizure inducing music and the scene as we know it will be gone. Forever.

True but 90% DnB has turned to shit.

I hope the same thing doesnt happen to dustep but I wont be holding my breath. Its taken off in a commercial sense compared to when i 1st listened to it but at this point in time Dubstep musically has hit a plateau imo.

Lets hope im provin wrong

If you like it then dj it, dont just dj it because other people like it. Seems pretty obvious too me. It already pretty huge if you ask me.

mods - please can you have a filter set up to automatically cancel all threads with "will dubstep go the way drum and bass did?", "is dubstep splitting into sub-genres?" and "I'm tired of all this brockout double-time, it's scaring away the original core..." etc. it is what it is. will dubstep die? was it ever really born? it's just a word dude, it means nowt. music is always changing and we can call it whatever the fuck we want. what's the difference. just listen to the new skull disco releases and relax.

last time i post over these subjects.
