I love Autechre, I could easily have their babies ..hmm, but IMO its just getting way to mathematical. Fair enough they are true pioneers and I love em to bits but I'm struggling with their intricate MAX/MSP and PD stuff. Nice one for getting them on the show MAH, I thought they were becoming as elusive as Boards of Canada.

Got the following image shots and text from another forum

These are some of their Max patches taken for a SoundOnSound feature apparently. Though with these chin strokey weirdo electronic music composers, the truth is never clear cut (you can see Æ and æ in the second patch window in the second screenshot:

Personally, I love EVERYTHING from LP5 backwards, but I'll be up to listen to the mix for sure !!

Incunabula is in my top 10 albums.

Looking forward to hearing new beats from Peverelist, Reso vs Culprit1 and everyone u mention.

I grew up on Autechre. Massive fan since the first album. There is some real fanboys about who try to break it down way more than it should be broken down.

Looking forward to the Manchester gig on Friday.

Yeah, Autechre, man...just so good...Tri Repetae is so ridiculously great...and I'm so psyched to see they seq in DP...all those MIDI breakpoints? 16-bit though I'm surprised at that.

They are pushing themselves way out...more and more abstract, experimental, and to some, academic. But they are to be heralded for it b/c their sounds are just great; they are mavericks.

It funny b/c I'm (getting help) writing some Max patches for my new studio to do some of the crazy multi-layered breakpoint stuff like that...I usu. do it manually, lay off a few seconds and keep mining for gold. But what Max allows you to do is not be trapped in the linear confines of a traditional DAW. You just open the patch and bang it. DP is cool though, they do have randomization curves in the tools/breakpoints...but as you know Max you can write anything.

Creativity goes in cycles...I'm sure AE one day will return to incredible sound designed funk. Massive ups to AE! If you went back in time and stopped the birth of AE, the universe would implode.

Sick. But I'm not on Rapidshare and I'm too lazy and cheap to get it when I'll just use Sendspace free. I gotta dl one part every 100m I think...can you leave them up Muni?

Love and respect for both, MAH and Autechre.
Suddenly, there was a terrible roar all around us, and the sky was full with what looked like huge bats, all swooping and screeching and diving around the car, and a voice was screaming:
Holy Jesus. What are these goddamn animals?

Electronic music without AE would be unthinkable.
