Post by citizen » Thu Nov 02, 2006 9:48 pm

Are these the same tune, or different ones? I haven't head them yet, could someone point me in the direction oof a mix which features them?

Mala on Kiss has them both in, not the same tune.

Yes so i could buy doubles and blend them back and forth in an infinite loop.

Or even a double pack with City Cycles and Bury the bwoy(sp?) on the other plate!

Learn is just plain ridiculous... The way the beat goes out of sync and then resolves itself... The way the notes are all off beat but it works... the way the sample sounds like a call to arms...

Seriously, that tune is just too much...

the hat's dont go out of time, they just change time signature. its easier to mix than it sounds (as it sounds insane and next level).

It's not as simple as a straight time signature change - it's a moving transition between two time signatures - like microtones but with rhythm!

sorry that's a bit unneccessary of me.
It's just that it such an amazing piece of drum programming / FX

hmm? sounds like triplets to me.

there's nothing uncommon about dividing a rhythmic space of 2 into 3, but but it really seems to blow people's minds in this scene. it's especially interesting to hear folks trying to describe it (ie. mary-anne hobbs on kut-off).

oi jubscarz, I see you're a paul wall fan, too. :)
that song is dangerous, as it's prime dubstep layering territory! 138bpm!

sorry for that teensy rhythmic rant, don't get me wrong, I'd rather people be enthusiastic about inventive riddims than like, "ugh I can't dance to this!"
