excellent selection to prove that dnb is not that dead as quite many heads claim it to be! enjoyed it a lot! another thumbup!
"f*ck dubstep. It's played almost exclusively by self indulgent wannabe losers"

I want to believe! I want to believe!
Downloading.

With very few exceptions (Amit? maybe) the only good DB/jungle tracks I heard after 96, could have been made by 96.

Amit's stuff isn't that forward looking really.. half time breaks were being used in 1992 :) for the more forward thinking stuff check the tunes on the mix by Sileni, Martsman, Graphic, Dak, Pieter K and Dissident :D

Hey, in 92 half time breaks were almost full time breaks still.
Sileni, very good point, Pieter K, not really. But I should listen more and talk less, mix still slowly downloading...

Can you clarify? In the hardcore days it was a standard trick to flip from standard time to half time to back again.. the fact that it was more like 158 doesn't make any difference. On the rougher side of things the dudes releasing on Moving Shadows/bizzy b/brain recs etc used to do that all the time. Digital was doing prototype-Amit style stuff way back. He was doing pure dubbed out half time in 1996. As much as I rate Amit, I have no idea why he gets as much coverage as he does...

Pieter K is a phenomenal producer, and one of the most forward thinking around. Get Everything All The Time and tell me that could've been released in 1996... almost everything done from scratch, including his drums which he recorded himself on his own kit.

nice one man :) I haven't been giving dnb as much attention as I should have recently... when I'm in Leeds I'm away from all my records, so now I'm back I'm reveling in being able to mix whatever I want any time :D
