In The Face celebrates its 5th Birthday (5 years I know right!) and we are doing it in style with 2 absolutely killer headliners who both debut at Volks, not to mention the Uncle of bassline Krissi B & Hudders madman Mr C! Expect stickers and plenty of birthday cake too...and in Room 2 we have Sicknote - Brighton's Techno Night providing some heavy techno, and the lovely ladies of Amenstrual smashing it with jungle, tek, grime & more!

CHAMPION

Combining UK Funky, Garage & Grime Champions sound is certainly unique. With some big releases on Hyperdub alongside Terror Danjah, as well as on Four Tets label last year with his huge remix of Kool FM, and running his own bass label Formula Records, Champion will be smashing the granny out of it at In The Face.

The queen of garage Flava D has been absolutely killing it recently with multiple releases on Butterz & Formula (In The Dance being tune of the year last year right?) as well as her own exclusive releases on Bandcamp, and a regular slot on Rinse as part of the Butterz show. Her live sets are no exception, we caught her at the Bangface Weekender and it was the highlight of the Festival. This one is gonna go off!

Also from up north but with a slightly housier vibe is Mr C, who's tunes reflect the new way in which this genre is progressing. That doesn't mean there aren't some serious bangers in there too, Mr C has a knack with catchy vocal hooks blended expertly with big bad basslines, as on his latest split EP with Brightons own Pavv.
