I've been listening to a lot of seven lions lately and am wondering what kindof chords he uses? I'm fairly decent at music theory, but I cannot for the life of me figure them out. Some help would be awesome! I've looked into his chord progressions and it doesnt seem like the basic diatonic triads/sevenths in minor scales. For instance this song... maybe using inversions?

I'm just curious as to what type of chords he uses to give that emotional uplifting feeling.

Unfortunately I'm not at my computer to make the exact chords and let you know the scales
However I'm relatively sure he uses inverted chords often, but once again not home to remake it. It's more the compression and effects he uses to make his sounds. Days to come is the perfection of all dubstep.
To be honest things like a major seventh don't work in emotional dubstep all too often from what I can tell because it takes away from the supersaws tone being you have to layer it in octaves.
I've read and studied that minor chords work best in the electronic music scene but I've done both and both work fine.
