I'm not trying to be an ass, but, I honestly don't understand why you bothered making and posting a video that basically just tells people to use presets and patches from other tutorials.
The tune sounded pretty nice though...
SEVEN LIONS SUPERSAW PERFECTED!
Re: Seven Lions tutorial! In depth
No man the concept was to teach the way to make the sound not to use presets. I was explaining the mix down and the way its all setup and a basic explanation of how to do everything, but thanks anyways.shakas wrote:I'm not trying to be an ass, but, I honestly don't understand why you bothered making and posting a video that basically just tells people to use presets and patches from other tutorials.

You have yet to contribute anything new really. a few tips maybe but nothing new. Just seamless's chords and tutorial put in your own words. Step your game up!couttsy wrote:No man the concept was to teach the way to make the sound not to use presets. OceanAires...How about you make a tutorial on SOMETHING, and then you're able to criticize another person's contribution.
I'll tell you exactly what his tutorial provided...It showed how the supersaw was used in context. He also stressed that mixing down the different layers was very important. These are fundamental and important points when trying to recreate the seven lions thing.
And just food for thought...Seamless's contributions to the EDM world are immense and passionate. However, he isn't the first to do his tutorials either. As a matter of fact, his reliance on Harmor for bass sounds, while a nice shortcut, has been done MANY times before, especially when talking about resampling and creating reese's with unique characteristics and movement. I know that was just one reference, but it wouldn't matter how many you name...
Step your 'contribution' game up, and then we can talk.
The time it took for couttsy to do what he did, is appreciable. And if certainly would've been a whole different story if he litterally said, "Just pick a preset it doesn't matter", when in fact deciding on what type of timbre for which layer is VERY important.

Re: SEVEN LIONS SUPERSAW PERFECTED!
Thank you I appreciate it and my newer WIP is completely made by me, as I have used other tutorials to get me started on it and get the basic idea. I had no idea where to start when I started to want to make that kind of sound, I needed some directions.Toolman4 wrote:OceanAires...How about you make a tutorial on SOMETHING, and then you're able to criticize another person's contribution.
