Driving wob sort of sound, Ghoul bass?

Postby ApoK » Sat Mar 22, 2014 10:32 pm

I've searched the forums and could not find this, mainly because I don't know what it would be called. Any ideas on how to make this bass that comes in just after the first bass on :55? It's like a dark wob sort of sound, any help is much appreciated, thanks guys! https://soundcloud.com/mathix/mathix-sika-extended-clip

Try the sub/low-midrange thread.

You need to have the harmonics on the mid/slight upper mids come out from a low pass filter...However you do this (meaning which sort of fx chain) will determine the end timbre of the sound..the example you have provided would depend on some chorus/delay/reverb and perhaps even more specifically addressed with frequency splitting...
