Yet another zomboy sound design request (not Terror Squad!)

Postby SOURCECODE » Sun Sep 21, 2014 6:59 pm

It's probably a really basic massive patch but I don't know where to start in massive. It's the repeating bass sound at 1:12.

Do what you would normally do when making a growl then split your sound into lows, mids and highs.

Take the mids and branch it out to two more separate inserts (flstudio) or just double the mids in a rack. (ableton)

Lows and highs stay basically untouched. Replace the sub if you'd like... but for the important part..

Ok so we have mids 1 and mids 2.

Mids 1 put a delay with 0 feedback, 100% wetness and a delay time of about 10 ms (play with 5-15 ms)

Mids 2 put a delay with 0 feedback, 100% wetness and a delay time of about 30 ms (play with 25-35 ms)

Use a multiband compressor to compress everything together and I'll leave the rest up to you :)
