Robin Dechets live at Le Sueur Palais, 24th August 1985.

Truly inspiring set from Dechets spanning soul, disco, funk and Latin grooves.

A must have for both true disco fans and anybody interested in the art of djing or the roots of modern dance music. Beautifully recorded at the night on reel to reel by studio luminary Daryl Rollins, this set sounds as crisp to the ears today as it did the night it was played!
Seriously fun and well recorded set, brilliant tracks, a good fun listen, download recommended.

Some absolutely cracking stuff there - thanks for the post.
It was entirely instrumental at this time, like jazz gone wild...a very tribal sound: very electronic. We would play like that for about 10 minutes. Then everybody would have to get really stoned again…But what we had put into 10 minutes was so total and so very savage – the earth shook, then cracked, and SWALLOWED ALL MISERY WHOLE.

electrofunk
Before the British Hip-Hop, House and Techno scenes emerged, Electro-Funk, the catalyst for all three, held sway. Pioneering DJ, Greg Wilson, looks back at the impact and influence of this pivotal 80’s underground movement which would sow the seeds of the UK dance revolution
