[MOD EDIT:
Hello, post all your grievances in here, please tell us how the mod team are only catering to the big names and how users being massive dickheads to each other and new users constantly, doesn't make DSF any less pleasant for everyone.
/MOD EDIT]
Yeah it's the only scene I know where prominent members insult their audience, I've even been told I am going to get stabbed if I come to one of their raves!

so one should only post if they have something nice to say?pete_bubonic wrote:In case anyone was panicking, I've just removed all the nasty posts of people sniping shots at each other or generally just being rude. It took me about an hour and I tried to leave the actual conversational posts in, sorry if you got caught in the cull. It's a really boring and tedious process as well, so I would REALLY APPRECIATE not having to repeat it.

Re: 130 thread
tbf it was him getting aggy and misunderstanding stuff in the first place. and you can't really blame "us" for taking the piss out of him when he states "130 is a bpm" after blackdown tried to convince us of the exact opposite for the past two years.sixs wrote:Sick, another producer was run off the board. then things just got a bit out of hand and death threats were made.

Re: 130 thread
You can laugh but actually this is a major issue. The amount of good and well recognised producers that have quit the forum due to things like this isn't small, and when they do it creates a backlash. Maybe a few people also quit because they agree with the person quitting, maybe a few people who were considering joining don't bother because they don't want to deal with that shit. If this happens regularly, a reputation is created. You see it now, when a producer makes an offhand comment about the forum, look at peoples reactions to it, it's hardly good.
There are a load of users who only post in SNH and then come out to post irrelevant, goading or offensive comments just for the sake of it. For fucks sake, a 2 ban had to be added to stop people being stnuc to NEW MEMBERS. How shit is it that people have to be threatened with punishment before they stop being a tnuc.
This topic is on the front page of the forum and a new members or guests reading those 4 pages would hardly encourage them to post and become an active member of the forum.
This forum makes money from advertising so it can continue running, and without bringing in new members the userbase will dwindle and the forum will die and with a reputation this forum has, I can't see many people being sad about it.
I'm not saying don't disagree with people, we should have a good music conversation especially when new genres come round, but you guys could try and be civil.
TLDR: go be stnuc to each other in SNH and leave general to music discussion.

Re: 130 thread
so if a producer has a hissy fit on here noone should call him out for the sake of the community or whatever
and yeah aggy users are definitely the ones to blame for people not bothering with the forum. not that forums aren't that popular anymore or the scene getting smaller

w/e I've said my opinion on it, no point carrying on because this thread will need to be trimmed again

Re: 130 thread
As you know, I don't come here that often anymore, primarily for some of the reasons you listed above, but the way he acted was pretty dumb. Jurkhands commented on a new release, passing honest and fair opinion and that started a whole chain of Etch misunderstanding every single thing he said, getting more and more wound up, deriding a load of people in the thread as just being internet gorms even though people in here probably make up a good portion of the listeners, ravers and record buyers in the 130 scene, and then went on to be pretty rude to Johnlenham when he spoke about 130 people DJing at a fucking night he no doubt puts a lot of effort and money into, which leads to more £££ for his 130 friends.
I know people stick up for producers on here, but all the big hissy fits have been due to producers misunderstanding and overreacting to things, before cussing everyone on the forum. I don't blame people for acting the way they do tbh, especially when odds are they've got a load of the producer's records on their shelves at home.
Community goes both ways, some producers need to drop the egos, realise that the people on this forum are the same people that are on the dancefloor and buying their records. Seems like no producer on here can take one person's opinion as what it is without cussing out everyone.

Re: 130 thread
Tbh i think it's probably more to do with the attitude 'successful' producers often seem to come to this forum with, i won't name names but i can think of quite a few, i'm not saying all of them do however. Also of course these people will be under more scrutiny but deservedly so when they come to a thread filled with their fans and make arguments with them.

what did etch say about converge?
also another thing why can't people ever just leave dsf why do they have to tweet/make a post about leaving and have a go at the forum
