I heard the Hollywood version is really good as well though. The plot is supposed to be pretty much intact.
I'll give the original a spin first.

Guy believes he has been assigned by God to kill demons in human form and gets his children to help him.
Still one of the most disturbing films I've seen.

Well, it's worth a watch anyway I'd say, it's pretty different and Tom Hardy is brilliant in it, just can't decide if it was actually good or not

Had good ideas, but he didnt dig deep enough into them imo. Watch A Field in England, from the same director and was a much more satisfying watch for me
Watched Farewell My Concubine. I am now convinced after also seeing Days of Being Wild and Happy Together, that Leslie Cheung was one of the greatest actors to come out of the East

Yeah, not worth the watch. Tom was good but fuck me, that was painful.

Well, I thought it was at least worth it in that it's fairly unique.
I think the problem was you were just waiting for something to happen with all that tension that had been built up and then nothing really came of it.
Critics are raving about it for some reason.

Yeah, I guess I didn't fully know what I was expecting either. I expected something a bit more exciting going off the trailer though.

Yeah it's really good.
Anyone have some recommendations for comedies? I don't think I have seen that many, but
a good comedy is hard to find. Is The Trip any good? I noticed a new one is coming out, but I haven't
seen the original.
