Grime tunes for dubstep mixes

Post by etzel » Wed Apr 15, 2009 10:54 pm

Haven't got a scooby doo about grime, was wondering if someone could name some grime tunes that would mix well with dubstep, quite up for some vocal variation in mixes.

Anyway thanks in advance.

Couldn't find a similar topic, please point me in the right direction if there is a similar thread.

Being mostly of a similar bpm, most 'grime' and 'dubstep' tunes will mix as well in theory as they do; grime into grime or dubstep into dubstep.

I think drum patterns, key of the track and use of the vocal will be the real decider of whether the tracks work together or not: If you DJ already then these should be part of your arsenal.

I guess this doesn't answer in terms of what tracks mix well together but I hope it helps in some way.

Older Jah Mek The World stuff (Jammer's label) sometimes has a kinda dark bassy feel to it. Death 2 Dem by Lewie White being the ultimate example of this.
