dunno man, sounds more complex to me. its weird cause it's in tune all the time. doesnt sound like a normal pitch envelope to me

Re: "gliding" vocal pitching
I think this can be done in ableton simply by getting that vocal sample, sticking it ableton's sampler and playing the vocal on the keyboard with glide on. could be wrong though

Re: "gliding" vocal pitching
sounds like glide + a tiny bit lfo'd pitch. automate your pitch controls and spice it up with a little frequency modulation (i suppose a simple sinewave works best) at very slow rates here and there. you should get pretty decent results. if you use ableton you cloud also modulate pitch in samplers modulation section at small percentages.
Re: "gliding" vocal pitching
its not really the pitch, the notes stay the same whether they sound deep or higher or anywhere in between...in ableton or melodyne or whatever you do it by modulating the 'formants' section up and & down. I haven't done it for a long time so I can't give you any details...but play with the formants, which might not show up in ableton until you change it to 'complex mode' or 'complex pro'....
Re: "gliding" vocal pitching
^ cool that's what i thought, cause the pitch isn't really changed, it's something else. could you reproduce this on ableton's vocoder?

Re: "gliding" vocal pitching

I did this thing with Melda Productions AutoPitch by automating the formant shift. Is this what you're looking for?Soundcloud
